
After winning the MTN Hitmaker reality show in 2013, the young rapper and poetic musician debuted his first studio album titled ‘Akuaba’ in 2014, which propelled him to National and international recognition through his hard work, thought provoking lyrics and memorable stage crafts. The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Africa Youth Choice Awards and Midem Music Festival were among the success story from the album.
However, after his exploits at the 2016 Midem Festival in France, as well as being adjudged the Artist & Rapper of the Year at the 2017 Eastern Music Awards, Koo Ntakra’s claim to be ‘King Of Kofcity’ was affirmed thus the title of his second studio album (KOK), released in 2017 which was tirelessly put together in a space of two (2)years to entrench his brand presence across the music hemisphere not only in Ghana but across the African continent and the world at large.
‘KOK’ representing ‘King of Kofcity’ is an enviable niche which the artist has created for his brand, and has become widely accepted by many in the music circles, thus the title for his new album project.
Koo Ntakra’s brand is captured in his name inscription which has the ‘feathers’ representing how high he is flying the flag of Akwapem and the Hiplife music from Ghana and proving every young talent can fly high with the right attitude, hard work, determination, perseverance and with a humble character.
